Dogs have always been my passion. Now I have combined passion and a dream of owning a doggie hotel to create A Tail Away, Inc., as a calm, secure environment for my canine guests.
I wanted my resort to be special, so it took several months of researching options and drawing upon the past 30 years of dog sitting to design an environment where dogs could run off leash (while supervised), enjoy napping in the shade or hang out with other playmates.
Dogs need plenty of attention which works very well for me since I love devoting time to rubbing bellies, scratching ears or brushing coats for my canine friends.
It is my pleasure to be helping both Canine Assistants (an organization that trains and provides service dogs for children or adults with physical disabilities) and the Military Working Dog Team Support Association (which aids current or retired military dog handler teams, plus war dog or dog team memorials).
